Victorian House in Hampstead

Many of the original features in this beautiful light-filled home had been removed by previous owners leaving it feeling cold and sparse. The new owners wanted to create a warm, calm space with a lived in feeling that reflected their style. I recommended they polish the wooden floors in a warm gold, re-install the fireplace and create simple panelling to create interest on the walls. A palette of cool neutrals, accentuated by Baltic Blue velvet on the sofa balances the South facing light and provides enough impact whilst retaining the warm, easy feeling they desired.
